Program description

Orbis Systems LLC is the sender of these messages. Orbis Systems LLC operates Orbis Core, the point-of-sale system the store runs, and sends transactional text-message receipts on behalf of the retail store where you made your purchase. Each message is branded with that store’s name rather than ours, because your purchase was with the store. When you ask for a text receipt at the counter, you receive a single text message containing a secure link to your receipt for that purchase.

How you opt in

At the register, you tell the cashier you would like your receipt by text and give them your mobile number. The cashier enters it in an optional “Text receipt” field on the register before taking your payment, and signage at the counter sets out the program, the sender, and how to opt out. Giving the cashier your number is your consent to receive a single text message with a link to your receipt for that purchase. The field is left blank unless you ask — if you do not ask for a text receipt, no mobile number is collected and no text is ever sent. If you ask for an email receipt instead, your receipt is emailed and no text is sent.

Message frequency

You receive one message per receipt you request. This is not a recurring or marketing program; there are no promotional messages.

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. This is a single step.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

Your mobile number and opt-in consent are used only to deliver the receipt you requested. They are never sold, never used for marketing or promotional purposes, and are shared only with the messaging provider and carriers needed to deliver the message you asked for. Your number is kept with the record of that sale.

Sample message

Orbis Systems LLC sends this message on behalf of the store where you made your purchase. The store’s name appears at the start of every message. “Hudson Grocers” below is a sample store name, shown for illustration.
